Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Victoria graduated as the Valedictorian from Southside High School in 2008. She graduated with Honors from the University of Texas in Austin with a B.A. in Plan II Honors and Government with a minor in Spanish. Her undergraduate thesis on the evolution of immigration law won the Model Thesis Award for her graduating class. As a first generation Mexican-American, she has always been driven to serve her community.
After graduating from UT-Austin in 2012 she clerked for a year for the prominent law firm of the now Honorable Norma Gonzales. In 2013, Victoria attended the St. Mary’s University School of Law where she was a member of the Board of Advocacy, participated in the External Advocacy Mock Trial Program, and along with her mock trial partner won the 2016 Renna and Jeff Embry Mock Trial Competition.
After becoming licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, Victoria went on to work for the Children’s Program at the Refugee And Immigrant Legal Services (RAICES), where she specialized in advocating for detained unaccompanied minors in immigration deportation proceedings. In 2018, Victoria joined the Law Office of Raymond Martinez and Frances M. Herrera where she specializes in criminal defense, family law and the intersections of criminal defense and immigration. Victoria is also certified in Guardianship law and well versed in Child Protective Services litigation.
Victoria is married and has three boys, and maintains her commitment to the community and the City of San Antonio.
